Question:If a school was looking for a secondary education history teacher what would they look for in them besides a bachelors and a masters in the works and certification in the state.Would a year abroad In Switzerland in highschool,1/2 year in germany and a 1/2 year in italy in college adn 2 years in the peace corps and fluency in german,swiss german,italian and spanish and of course english help?Also I want to do the semester at sea program for teachers?But do you think any of these factors would help my chances and being hired as a european history/global teacher?

1/2 year studies won't make you fluent in German or Italian.
I think it will be great for you to become a well-rounded teacher, though.
Check out the Fulbright teacher exchanges when you graduate. You could spend a year as a teacher or assistant in a German/Austrian classroom.
