Where can I find teaching materials for The Phantom of the Opera?

Question:I am teaching the novel, not the musical (although I will use the musical for comparison). I cannot find, online at least, any lesson plans, reading questions, etc. I would really like to find some comprehension and critical thinking questions I can give to my students after they read each chapter to facilitate discussion.

Answers:
I teach the novel in French and found some inspiration for my lesson plans from the Lloyd-Webber musical website. It's been changed a bit since I first used it, but you'll still find some information on novelist Gaston Leroux and resources on the Education page (see the link below) when you scroll down the left column.

Here are some websites that might help you. Although it's not exactly what you wanted, it should be enough to make up your own lessons. As a teacher, you should be able to come up with your own questions. If not, I would suggest you find another book that you can get lessons and use them. There doesn't seem to be much out there, but I got a lot of ideas of what I would ask by looking at these sites. Good luck!
