The city and guilds 7407 course has ceased.?

Question:I had hoped to do the C&Guilds 7407 course from this September.I wished to teach adults IT and have done so for many years.I havent got a degree but have now found out it no longer exists. Is there an equivalent Qual or have i missed the boat.

Answers:
It depends where you want to teach - as long as it is not FE, then this could be the answer for you. Diploma in Delivering Learning - Vocational (No. 7302)

Yes there is an equivalent, cant remeber what it is called, but your college (if you work through community college) should have told you all this info, cos even if you have already got your 7407 you now need to do this other course anyway and have signed up for it by the end of this year. this is why I have decided to work for myself as I do not want to do another long winded course that has hardly any bearing on the subject I teach, when I only work for community colleges for four hours a week, it sucks and you dont get paid for any meetings or any of the time you are spending studying.and as I am self employed for my other job, time is money, so I am out of it. Good luck!
