I am thinking about taking a plea for Deferred Adjudication Probation for a felony. Can I be a Teacher?

Question:I am thinking of taking Deferred Adjudication Probation, insted of going to trail for a felony. One of my friends said that I used his credit card without his permission. Which we made a bet and he gave me his card to take the money out. Well If I take the Deferred Adjudication Probation can I still go to school to be a teacher.. Thank all of you for your help

Answers:
This will go on your record and it will come up when you are fingerprinted before you are hired as a teacher. So, if at all possible, I would try to work something out with your 'friend' to avoid any hint of a felony on your record. If it cannot be settled without charges, all hope is not lost. If you admit to the problem on your application, if it is an isolated incident, and if you have court transcripts to back up your claims, a school district may be willing to overlook this type of minor financial charge. Good luck with it all.
hmm if what u said is true then it may hold up in court and u can go without any problem, how long have u known ur friend, since elementry then maybe the judge and jury will see ur inocent and drop it or maybe give ur friends money back and he will drop it
