Question:

You can use www.freetranslation.com however it is not full-proof.
If you use Microsoft Word and type your e-mail in English, you can go to "tools" then "language" and then "translate."

To the right a screen will pop up. Make sure it says translate from: English and to: "Italian" from the pull-down menu. Click the green arrow just below the "from/to" option and it will take you on line pop up window called "word lingo."

When I needed to translate something, I just did a cut and paste of the text into a new document (or in your case an e-mail).

As the other poster said, it may not be fool proff or gramatically correct, but it should get your message across.
