Teaching ESL?

Question:The book has the topic of 3-d movies. My resources are limited. Any good ideas of activities or how I can teach this??

Answers:
Here are some ideas that I can think of:

1. Ask students what types of movies they like. Call on a few students to describe their favorite movies. This gets them thinking about the subject.

2. Find an article about 3-D movies, and have students read it silently. Put them in pairs to prepare a summary of the article. Ask each pair to read out their summary. Correct their errors.

3. Give students a handout with a series of squares, a storyboard. Put them in groups of 3 or 4 to prepare a storyboard for a scene in a 3-D movie. Tell them that the scene must include one special 3-D moment (villian sticks a knife into the camera, etc.) Give them 10 minutes to prepare their storyboards, as you circulate and see how they're doing. Then ask each group to come to the front of the class, one group at a time, and describe their scene (You could also ask them to act out the scene.)
