I'm a teacher looking for a class set of books.?

Question:I teach science and we are learning about the Earth's interior. I would like to do a book study with my gifted class with "Journey to the Center of the Earth" by Jules Verne. Any ideas on how to get a class set of books for a reasonable price? I have exhausted my efforts with the public libraries.

Answers:
Sure,
Go to Project Gutenberg and download it for free.
Here is the URL

Do you have a 1/2 price bookstore in your area? You can check the website "halfpricebooks.com"
That book is in the public domain. google books has it online, as well as every other online book site

WHen I used to purchase class sets of books, I'd always start at the used bookstore. If you live in a big city that has several used bookstores, even better. Check the thrift stores, as well.

And don't rule out ebay.
Put in a request on donors.org. Explain what you need and how it will benefit your students. You can get most requests funded pretty quickly, especially if it's just one class set.

I also know a teacher who was able to get multiple class sets of novels for cheap ($1-$3 a piece) on Ebay. Good luck!
try ebay or a used books site if you want them at a cheap price.
I'm a teacher as well. I get all kinds of things on eBay. It's a great place for teachers.
