I am only afraid of insects and spiders that hurt me (ie bees, horseflies, hobo spiders, etc).
Spiders scare me to death..I'm not exactly sure why...I think it's because of all of those creppy legs and the way the walk all creepy and slow..they have all those eyes..always watching you. Gives me the chills just thinking about it.

probably one of the more popular reasons. fear is brought on by ignorance. most people can't tell one bug or spider from another. the ones that actuall kill other nastier bugs are often killed with the truly harmful ones. that is only because of ignorant fear or too lazy to take a non-harmful insect somewhere else to live on.
I think it is because they are creepy/crawly and some can bite.
