Did you know that 80% of UCSD students
could not find the error above? Repost
this with the title "Find the error",
and when you click "Submit Post", the
answer will be really obvious
Answers:
I though the number line from one to nine is to be over to the right one spot.
1-9 are all in the ten's place, rather than in the one's place, as far as place value is concerned.
Position of the numbers 1-9 being an error is nonsense. That would only apply if some mathematical problem was being done which would require them to be positioned just so, which this is not. Or if it is, then you did not state that it was in your question.
Any "error" here would have to be conditional upon factors which haven't been mentioned here. So there is no error.
if what the first two posters have said is the answer, I don't see it as an error so much as a typographical feature that computerization can't deal with. We all know that when we label files we have to go 01, 02, 03, etc, or else 10 comes before 2. But we don't regularly write 01, 02, etc, at least not when we're writing standard English. I think it's a bit too much to call it an 'error'. I agree with jjjjjj
yes, I believe the error is in the lining of the numbers; the last didgits should always be in line with the others, like an imaginary zero in front of the single digits, to line up with the double digits. Like this:
01
02
03
04
05
06
07
08
09
10
11
12..
Is that right? man, that will bug me now til I find out if i'm correct.
:o) thanks for the challenge, have a fabulous weekend!

Was there a title at the top? If so it was that the title or the blurb at the top had incorrect punctuation or capitalization. (If I remember correctly) I got this on my e-mail a few months ago and that was the only error I could find.
