We moved house and so were forced to sort the attic. Now we only have stuff that has sentimental value.
It's really liberating getting rid of all the junk.
Oh, and glue gun don't think that when your children leave home they take their junk with them. I can guarantee that they will expect you to store it for them.

ch-ocker block with kids stuff, school books, photos, toys, memory boxes from 1989 to present day, navy uniform, don't really need any of it, but will be nice when the kids leave home and have family of their own, so has they can take it away and then i can convert it into my own little night club for me and me mates
Mine is full of toys the kids have out grown but ' someone elses child might want them one day' and paint i haven't used for ages it's 3 colours old but ' it could come in handy for something or someone else' and my suitcases

Yes, my house is full of Stuff from family estates and is mostly kept for sentimental value. But I am working to change my thinking on that subject. I am a single woman and have 5 TVs left, but I did get rid of 2. And then I have 3 microwaves, but I did get rid of 2. So far, I've made several trips to the Goodwill Store to donate items and have given away more Stuff via FreeCycle groups, but it is slow going when you are the only family member remaining to pick thru the Stuff.
Ohhhhhhh Yes! Its so full the ceiling is sagging in the living room under the weight. Toys that belonged to my daughter; all sorts of odds and ends. Some of it may be worth a few bob - I will have to get my husband up there to sort it out. Thanks for reminding me.

my attic is empty. i'm too scared to go up there because i think of all the spiders living there and it freaks me out. all stuff is in garage and just had a huge clear out so all stuff is that which i need.
