In 1920 there was four hurricanes. The fourth one came ashore at Cedar Key, FL, but only after being downgraded to a tropical storm. It was the only storm to hit Florida in 1920.
However, in 1896 a hurricane hit Cedar Key and destroyed the pencil industry that flourished before the storm destroyed the trees in that area. Here is the link with more info:
