What did Einstein call the "cosmological term," and what is it now called by most theorists?
Answers:
(He used the term "cosmological term" [hmm] to describe some sort of antigravity force. [He didn't like it because it didn't fit his equations of general relativity]...)
Einstein felt however that the antigravity force had to fit the requirements of what atonomers then believed the universe looked like, even though HE thought it was as malleable as India rubber, stretching back and forth, big then little...
Now most theorists believe the universe is always expanding, and at an ever-increasing rate, with 'something' pushing it, which in 2000 was called "dark energy."
(The Hubble Space Telescope provided scientists with more information on universe expansion when it enabled them to watch a supernova)
It's not particularly difficult but you can have this one.
