Question:There are 36 letters in the title.
There are less than 10 words in the title.
The first word does not contain a T, H, R, Y, or I.

And Now For Something Completely Different

Okay, so it is 37 letters, but is the closest I can come up with! - and 6 words is less than 10! (It was released in 1971 for the American audience, to introduce them to Monty Python!)
I was going to go for Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, can't think of any others with titles that long.

That's too short as well...
LOL! I've no idea, I thought there was a clue in "A shot in the dark" but Peter Sellers didn't make any films in 71:-(
OK I submit what is the right answer? I've just gone through all the films released in 1971 on Wikipaedia and cannot find one with 36 letters!
edit
The closest I got was Escape From the Planet of the Apes and that has 28 but the first word fit's your clue!
Sorry. I've checked the movies released in 1971 (see link) and I can find no American released movies with 36 letters in the title.
