Edgar Van Nuys Allen was a professor of drug at the Mayo Clinic. He was a cardiovascular expert and edited one of the first comprehensive textbook on peripheral vascular disease. His dub is lent to the eponymous Allen test, which is a procedure to determine capability of blood supply to the hand. The Allen Test is usually call Modified.
