What was the reason for the large increase of the population in the US during the 90's?

Question:Was the 32.7 Million population growth (13.28 percent increase) caused by millions of foreign Backstreet Boys Fans? :P

Answers:
It was caused by the baby boomers in turn having children as well. So expect there to be another mini boom when everyone born in the 90's reaches that age.
Immigration.
You bet... a new one was born every minute. ;-}
lots o' banging
probably the large amount of Mexicans stepping over or people were living longer
Immigration was one answer, but have you thought about the echo-boomers? The kids of the baby-boomers, aka generation Y. Just think. If the baby boomers were the largest generation yet, and say 75% of them had the standard 2 1/2 children, wouldnt the population grow REALLY fast. Even with their parents' generation dying out. You'd have the two largest generations living at the same time.
