Is it true that Vikings would bite oars in half as part of a berzerk preparation for battle?

Question:I heard it from someone years ago and the more i think about it the more i doubt its authenticity. what is the diameter of a viking oar?

Answers:
firstly, Vikings did not bite their oars in half,
a) their much too hard,
b) their much too big,
c) the Vikings generally had poor teeth.

secondly the average diameter of a viking oar was roughly the diameter of a mans upper arm at the grip end and roughly the diameter of a mans lower leg at the business end, plus the blade.
I sure can't give you an appropriate answer for this question but I do know beyond a shadow of a doubt that a Twix candy bar would have been a cool way to go. Ya think?
No they valued their oars ,you must be thinking of ears
they would bite each others ears off.
Excuse me?!
Not only would it be physicaly impossible, the Vikings were very pragmatic - destroying useful equipment wasn't their style! It's possible that there's a story of Odin doing this in a rage, but I've never heard of it.
