We use slang because it's a part of our culture, as black people. This started as early as slavery times, when the masters of our fore-fathers ridiculed us and toutured us, we had to have our-own way of communicating with each other in a way that would confuse the overseers or the mistress or the master or slave-owners if they were to accidentally hear some things being said. This was also used for tactics of escaping and getting out of all sorts of trouble. And today we still use slang, but it is used by everyone, like rappers, actors, but it is just a talented form of art for us black people, we are trend-setters when it comes to slang, or smooth-talking, so we as black people should be given thanks for creating a way of talking that is so diverse and colorful or as the white folks say COOL!! Don't you think?
