If you aren't courageous, if you don't dare to do anything, if you lock yourself into your house, because you simply are scared of life, then your life is worth nothing. Your life contracted itself to nothing, because that's exactly what you do: nothing. You are afraid of going outside (you could be run over by a car), to stay in the house (what if there's an earthquake?), to light a fire (that's dangerous) etc.
However, if you have fun and forget you're scared, then your life is worth something. You go outside, you forget you're scared and your life "expands".
At least that's my interpretation of the whole thing (...if you even wanted an interpretation. I mean, as already stated before, you haven't even asked a real question.)
