My youth was marred by a particular grandmother who had a penchant for over-kissing the grandchildren. She smelled funny and squished us in her mighty grip and we all complained to the point where she had to be told to stop.
When I thought about it I thought: how horrible for that poor old biddy, she must have been devastated. Then I found out she was doing it because she thought she had too and really she found us all nauseating too.
And for this reason I find this question offensive.
