Prompt

Prepared
Making the customer feel at ease and giving the customer what they want, when they want it.
In the most general of sense, since this doesn't really say what kind of service we are talking about:

To me good service is prompt, courteous, friendly service. Providing an honest and decent product. Showing they appreciate me as a customer and that they want me back.

I'm a sucker for the free stuff and gimmicks, I hate to say, but truth be told I really just want a good value for what I request, and that I be treated decently.

That's good service to me.
depends on what the serivice is. but the basics to me are doing the service right, not making someone wait for a very very long time, and not being pushy. sorta like a waiter/waitress in a restaurant. you know the ones that are not on you like a vulture but they don't just disappear either so you can find them when you need them.
Good service for me is when the person helping you is fully atentive to what you have to say. Puts a smile on and tries their very best to fulfill your needs. And when they can't help, they direct you to another place/person who can, or they suggest something else.
When the person speaks kindly, answers your questions, and really does the job right.
good service is not good enough you need "knock your socks off" service.

go way above what is expected and make sure your customers notice it.
good service is helping customers in any way you can to resolve problems or get them what they want... returning phone calls.. if youre working on something and its taking longer than expected calling the customer to let them know you havent forgotten them.. dont just pawn ppl off on someone else cuz something isnt necesarly 'your' job..

those are just a couple examples of good customer service.. from my point of view
When they make you feel like they genuinely want to please you, not just because its their job. They treat you like an old friend.
I feel that when dealing with customers Quality is what the customer expects, not what you feel is right.
A small example of that would be, say in a diner the BF special comes with 2 eggs, 3 pieces of bacon and 2 pieces of toast.
The patron orders the BF special without the toast and nothing replacing it, the cook puts the toast on there anyway and the server thinks o well they can just choose not to eat it, at that point the quality has dropped, although the food is perfectly good and he got more than they asked for.
The patron could have many good reasons for not wanting to see the toast and they are all valid.

This can be twisted many different ways and carried on to many different services.

In short Quality is what the customer asked for, nothing more or nothing less.
keeping the customer satisfied.
