Why do they call it 'wreckless' when they tend to wreck more?

Question:LOL! Not a good question but I'll ask anyways.

Answers:
reckless, the "reck" part is from an old English or Germanic root meaning care, thus reckless is careless
Maybe, so you feel less guilty when you are being wreckless
You are right.... it wasn't a good one.
They don't call it wreckless. They call it reckless. Without reck: care, concern.
'Reckless', not wreckless. Please?
It is unfortunately spelled "reckless", not wreckless, so the statement doesn't apply. :)
Would that more people were 'wreckless' drivers. Unhappily, they are usually reckless, and that's what leads to wrecks.
reckless
reck as in reckon...to consider
less as in not
reckless=not considering=not thinking about what you do

i wondered that the other day:)
