how can i ask my teacher to help me w/ my work strongly but not directly implying that my teacher really doesn't have to if he/she is not up to it/has stuff to do etc. (stressed out teacher i have) i mean i know m yteacher can always say no but i still want to imply that my teacher ought to not help if he/she is tired etc.

Excuse me, but would you have the time and the resources to help me with "such and such"? If you don't, and you need to tell me that you are not able to right now, it's not a problem. There are other people that can help me with it.
Nicely say Mr/Ms ________ if you're not too tired could you maybe assist me a little more with my work or suggest a day you'd be available.
