Free grammar/spell check?

Question:I was woundering if their was a better free grammar check then the one used on Microsoft Word?

Answers:
I suppose you could read the phrase aloud to a family member or friend and see if they can catch anything, but grammar is tricky to check since automated checkers can't catch all the exceptions or rules and might "misunderstand" what you are trying to say and change it from correct to incorrect.
