When others end a written statement with "LOL", does it annoy you?

Answers:
No. I know what they mean and it doesn't wound me. I think it is kind of cheery, in fact.
I've yet to lose any sleep over it personally.
not at all. lol
it doesn't annoy me unless they end almost every sentence with it. in my opinion it just usually lets people know you are joking around, so no, i don't see a problem with it.
Yes,but what can you do?
It may seem old-hat at this point, but at least it's a little window into the mood of the sender. Thank goodness there's not a proliferation of the acronym for "crying on the inside"
Yes. It's like they are laughing at their own jokes, which is bad enough when someone does it while they are talking to you. What makes it even worse is that when people use it like tat, the statement they made usually isn't even all that funny.
No, not at all. Not now that I'm used to it, that is. I'm of a generation that used to know LOL as Little Old Lady...

(LOL)

It's merely a way to WRITE that you're saying whatever you're saying with humor.

Play it off.
Anything is annoying when overused. But using it once in single email, or blog comment, yahoo question or answer, etc is OK.
Sometimes, if it's not funny.
