How do you end a sentence with parentheses at the end of it? Where does the period go?

If the entire sentence is in parentheses, the period goes inside. Example: (By the way, this sentence is in parentheses.)
Since the parentheses are clarifying something IN the sentence, it is part of the sentence. The period should therefore go inside the parentheses (for sure).
i believe the period goes oudside of the perenthesis!
I treat parenthetical phrases that refer to the sentence as part od the sentence. Therefore, the period is placed AFTER the parenthesis. For example:

I really like EduQnA.coms (but I think I may be addicted).
Put the period after the parenthesis.
