Should you say that your "resign yourself to something" or "reside yourself to something"?

Question:Just a linguistic thing that's bothered me for a while.! Thanks!

Answers:
resign means to give in or give up
reside means to live by or in

it's resign yourself to the inevitable
Resign.
resign (to give up or to accept)
resign,

reside means you live in it.
resign - give up - accept
Lol! "Resign" - reside means "live in".
Resign: It's from being resigned to doing or not doing something..a rather negative take on a situation.
This is one of the many proofs of the value of an education, paying attention in school, etc. When people learn how to PRONOUNCE and SPELL correctly, these problems go away. Something else that YOU can do: try Googling 'dictionary' and 'thesaurus' in a search-engine, then 'Bookmark' the results for future use.
Resign is correct -
6. to submit (oneself, one's mind, etc.) without resistance.

Reside:
1to dwell permanently or for a considerable time: She resides at 15 Maple Street.
- which doesn't make sense!
You say resign yourself to something because you are not in control of it-giving in!
Resign.
