"you think that boy in digging your gravy"
i read in in the girl's life mag. many times,
and i think it is the stupidest phrase i have
ever heard.
do people really even say that, or is it just me?
Answers:
I've heard it before.
People say it, but it isn't normal.
ive never heard of it...
think that's just dumb who would say that!
oh, totally, i use that all the time.
really though, that is really dumb
I think you might mean "You think that boy is digging your grave"
One of the meanings to this is that the other person means you harm, wishes you dead, etc, and is happily digging your grave for you to lay down in.
It can also mean somebody, usually a stranger, who for no apparent reason, fills you with an unexplained dread.
I think it is the most stupid term I have ever heard. I can imagine what it means but there must be a "nicer" way to say even that.
The only way it could make any sense is if you made two typing errors:
"you think that boy iS digging your gravE"
Which would mean that you think that boy is undermining you by saying things to hurt you. Undermining means sabotaging.
i dig gravy all the time.. dont you?
I asked my two daughters one being 21 and the other being 15 this question. They said, "huh?". So in answer to your question, the answer is no, people do not really say this and I agree with you. It is stupid and even a little ewwwwwwwwwwwww as put by my daughters.
hey Em! well, i have never heard of that one but there are some like that
