What is the difference between ng and nang?? In Tagalog literature...?

Question:How and when do you use the word nang and ng in a sentence??

Answers:
i'm not sure but,,, i think ng is used in distinguishing people, or things or like that,,, example:
* Nawala ang kanyang kwintas NG hindi niya namamalayan.

and nang is used when distinguishing time or something like that,,, example:
* Nahanap niya ang kanyang kwintas NANG kami ay umalis,,,

well,,, i hope this is not confusing,
