What does scholarly mean. What does he want me to do. I know it's gotta be something simple, But it's all over my head right now. Please help.

Scholarly means educated. The Scholars and Philosophers were the educated people of our past. So basically he wants you to ask a very good question, that he would probably ask. I would suggest one that could have multiple answers, like a discussion question.
Put as simply as possible, he is asking you to come up with the type of questions a teacher or professor would ask students after viewing the video. Specifially, open ended questions, that will require alot of thought from the answerer.
