Question:ok i want to buy this pool but i don't realli kno wat that means...yea call me dumb but i just don't kno which is which...is it 18ft wide and 48 inces deep?

Answers:
18 feet diameter,4 feet deep
It means it is a circular pool with a diameter of 18ft and 4 feet deep water. =]
That sounds like a ROUND pool... 18 feet in diameter by 48 inches deep
It Means 18 ft diameter and 4 ft height
if its rectangular 18 feet long 48 inches wide
4ft would make it an extremely narrow pool, although I have heard of people having indoor pools built like this because they are competitive swimmers who only want to swim lengths. On the other hand, 18ft as a single "non-depth" measurement (as opposed to a pair of numbers indicating length and width) would seem to indicate a circular pool. But an 18ft diameter pool would seem a rather large pool to have no deep end, i.e. be uniformly 4ft deep. If I were you, I'd contact the company which is going to construct/install the pool, whatever dimension the 4ft is, the pool will be no bathtub - you don't want any surprises.
