What is wrong with the question?

Question:When I was watching TV, the tornedo hit my house.
(Someone asks her or him)
Was your house broken?

Is the question in the right form? If not, why? What should be the right way of saying it?

Answers:
It's in the right form but the word damaged would be a much better choice than broken.
Was your house damaged? That might sound better. The form is fine.
The beginning statement is also wrong. Correct form would be:

While at home watching television, a tornado struck.

Did your house suffer damages?
Did it break your house ?
