Do you think that "todays kids" are growing up too fast?

Question:I went to pick up my sister (5th grade) at school today. Just walking through the campus, I heard

"I'll download it later on my laptop" and "Hey, can I borrow your cell phone".

Jeez!! I didn't have my own lap top until I was a year into college. I didn't get a cell phone until I was out of high school.

I'm not that old, I'm only 22, but something has really happened since I was going to school....

your thoughts?

Answers:
I think parents spoil their children a bit more. I don't think I would advise a child getting a cellphone until they are capable of maintaining a conversation, though. I had an 18 year old in my house who would talk on the phone, "yeah? yeah. yeah!"

It'd be nice if they had verbal skills,
